What are your hours?
Mon-Fri 9 AM-8 PM and Sat-Sun 1-5 PM

What can I be seen for?
Common cold/flu, work and school or camp physicals, sutures, skin rashes such as poison ivy & oak, foreign body removal, spider bites, STD & pregnancy test, as well as many other non-emergent procedures or injuries.

What types of insurance do you contract with?
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas, Cigna, Century Health Solutions, United Health Care, ProviDRs Care Network (formerly WPPA), Humana, Great West Healthcare, Preferred Health Systems, & Health Partners of Kansas.

Do you accept Medicare, Medicaid, or Tricare?
Minor Med opted out of all Federal Insurance Programs; Medicare, Medicaid and Tricare/Champus.  Therefore we are not able to see patients who have this kind of insurance, even if they have other forms of insurance as primary.

Do you accept credit/debit cards?
Yes we accept visa, master card, and discover

Do you take x-rays?
Yes, but please try to arrive at least a half hour before closing.

Do you perform work, sport or camp physicals?
Yes, but extensive work physicals, such as DOT physical, should come in Monday through Friday, 9 AM-5 PM.

Can I use your lab for my primary care physician lab orders?
Our lab is for in-office use only. Lab order must be made during an office visit with one of our providers.

What types of lab work do you do?
Chem14, CBC, Mono Spots, and Thyroid Tests, among others

Are you open on holidays?
We are closed New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We are sometimes closed on Mothers Day if we cannot find any moms to work.

Is someone available to translate into Spanish?
Scott Ford, our physician assistant speaks Spanish.  He works, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.

If I need to make a payment, where do I send it?
Please mail checks to Minor Med, Inc, Attn: Business Office, 1119 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka KS 66604. If you’d like to make your payment in person, we accept cash, check, visa, master card and discover.
